The short version

1. Who we are

AtlasVect is a website and commerce platform that is being built and has not launched yet. This page is the public site for AtlasVect and, for the purposes of data protection law, the data controller for anything described here is:

2. What this site is

AtlasVect is not generally available. You cannot create an account, buy anything, or sign in from this site, because there is nothing to sign in to yet. The only thing this site does is describe what we are building and let you ask to be told when it opens.

3. What the waitlist form stores

When you submit the waitlist form, this is the complete list of what is written to our database. There is nothing else, and there is no hidden field beyond the anti-spam one noted at the end.

Source Set by us Which form on the page you used. It tells us which part of the page people respond to.
Browser description Sent by your browser The short identification string your browser sends with every request. We keep it only to spot automated signup waves.
Country Set by us A two letter country code for the request, and nothing finer. It tells us which parts of the world are interested. It is not a location, a city, or a postcode.
Date and time Set by us When you joined, recorded in UTC.

Your IP address is not stored. A waitlist has no legitimate need for it. To stop automated scripts flooding the list, our server does need to recognise repeated submissions from the same place for a few minutes. It does this without keeping the address: the address is combined with a secret value and turned into a one-way fingerprint that cannot be reversed, the secret changes every day so yesterday's fingerprint cannot be matched to today's, the fingerprint is held apart from the waitlist entries with no link between them, and it is deleted once the few minutes have passed.

The anti-spam field

The form contains one field that is hidden from people and is only ever filled in by automated software. If it arrives filled in, we discard the submission entirely and store nothing at all. Nothing is recorded about the attempt beyond an anonymous count in our server log.

4. What we do not do

You can verify most of this yourself. Open your browser's developer tools, reload this page, and look at the network requests. Every one of them points at this site.

5. Why we are allowed to hold it

Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, our legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it is as easy as giving it: see section 7. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did with your details before you withdrew it.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist entry until whichever of these comes first: you ask us to delete it, or twenty four months pass without AtlasVect launching, at which point the list is cleared and we start again rather than sit on stale details. If AtlasVect launches and you become a customer, your details are then governed by the privacy policy of the product, which will be published before launch.

The anti-spam fingerprints described in section 3 are deleted automatically within minutes. Server request logs, which our infrastructure provider keeps for security and reliability, are retained for a short period by that provider under its own terms and are not used by us for marketing or profiling.

7. Your rights, and how to use them

Depending on where you live you have the right to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. For a waitlist entry all of those are simple, and all of them work the same way.

Email privacy@atlasvect.com from the address you signed up with, and say what you want. We will action it and confirm within 30 days, usually far sooner. There is no form, no account, and no charge. Every marketing email we send will also carry a one-click unsubscribe link that removes you from the list.

If you are in the UK, the EU, or the EEA and you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

8. Who else can see it

Our team, and the infrastructure provider that hosts this page and its database. That provider processes the data only to run the service for us, under a data processing agreement, and never for its own purposes. We do not use an email marketing platform, a CRM, or an analytics vendor for this site. If that changes before launch we will update this page and say so here, and a current list of processors is available on request.

We may disclose information if we are legally required to, for example by a valid court order, and we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.

9. Where it is stored

The waitlist is stored on servers operated by our infrastructure provider and may be processed in a country other than yours. Where personal data leaves the UK or the EEA, the transfer relies on the safeguards our provider has in place, including standard contractual clauses.

10. Security

Traffic to and from this site is encrypted in transit. The waitlist database is not reachable from the public internet and is only accessible through the single submission endpoint that the form on this page uses. That endpoint accepts requests only from this site, limits how often the same visitor can submit, and never reports back whether a given address is already on the list, so it cannot be used to test whether someone signed up. Access to the stored list is restricted to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise, but we hold as little as possible precisely so that there is as little as possible to lose.

11. Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, email us and we will remove the entry.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Because AtlasVect has not launched, the most likely change is a fuller policy covering the product itself, which will be published before anyone can create an account.
